Where Solid Material Becomes More Than Weight
Architects, designers and clients increasingly choose projects made from stone in its full, solid volume.
And rightly so: pieces carved from a single block carry authenticity, craftsmanship and pure beauty.
But working with true volume is more than mass alone. Behind a sculpted washbasin, bath or kitchen block lies a world of precision, engineering and a deep respect for the material.
It all starts with the design: a vision driven by organic curves, crisp lines or striking accents.
Carving from a single block makes possible what slab material can only suggest.
A softly rounded basin, a hollowed shape in onyx, an organically modelled island — these forms only come alive when they are cut straight from the block.
Yet choosing full-volume stone isn’t always straightforward. Not every material is available in block form. Sometimes alternatives must be explored. And even when the perfect block is found, the real work begins: cutting strategies, transitions between thick and thin sections, and ensuring the veining flows through every part.
This is where Potier Stone truly excels. Our state-of-the-art machinery and generational know-how allow us to shape stone in its full depth — from subtle curves to complex sculptural forms.
Our five-axis CNC mills with extreme precision, but the human touch defines the final result: refining, feeling, correcting. By eye. By hand. With heart.
Projects are dry-assembled in our workshop, details tested, tricky transitions discussed.
Clients can witness the stone puzzle with their own eyes — a moment that often seals their confidence.
Working with real, full-volume stone creates a unique experience. Natural stone always completes a space, but in sculpted form it becomes tangible. Heavier, literally, but even more so in feeling. Visitors slow down. Clients instinctively touch it.
Those who know what came before show immediate respect.
And for us? Every time, the same thought:
“Wow — we made this.”
That’s why: #ProudToBePotier.
