At an angle

In Flemish dialect, something that is audacious, distinctive, different is sometimes said to be ‘een hoek af’, or ‘at an angle’.

This kitchen island is literally and figuratively ‘at an angle’. It’s a real eye-catcher in the otherwise austere kitchen. The natural stone chosen was a very specific Mystic Brown with lovely white veins.
