Une brique dans le ventre at Cabosse Guest House
On Saturday, 2 November the RTBF television programme ‘Une brique dans le ventre’ (literally translated ‘A brick in the stomach’ – an expression that refers to the desire to own one’s own home) took us to the Cabosse guest house in Antwerp. This spacious property was totally converted on the basis of a design by Philip Simoen to create a small luxury hotel. The authentic elements in the building were taken into account in the renovation.
The glorious Queens suite radiates pure class and authenticity. This is due not least to the authentic hearths with their golden mirrors. In the bathroom, the bath and shower in black Nero Marquina marble and the Venetian glass mirrors stand out in particular.
The Thompson Suite has a magnificent bathroom in Calacatta S marble. The bookmatch pattern was used for the marble in the shower, bath and washbasin.
The garden behind the Cabosse guest house has a pool house with a sauna and hamam. Persian Red travertin was used here, creating a sharp contrast with the green surroundings. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
