Pierres et Marbres de Wallonie symposium

As chairman of the Natural Stone Workers at EMBuild, our manager Wim Nelis took part in the panel discussion last week during the Pierres et Marbres de Wallonie symposium in the superb marble hall at “Rooms with a Zoo” in Antwerp. The main focus of the day was sustainability. The topics considered included sustainable purchasing, integration of local materials in projects and our surroundings and the comparison between Belgian natural stone and alternative construction materials. Insightful presentations were also given on measuring sustainability and the use of local natural stone in projects.
